Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-13
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Stroam website at stroamapp.com and the Stroam waitlist (together, the "Site"), operated by Stroam Inc. ("Stroam", "we", "us"), an Ontario, Canada company. By using the Site or joining the waitlist, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
What the Site is
The Site previews Stroam, a street-food discovery service that has not launched yet, and lets you join a waitlist for launch updates and early access. The Site does not offer accounts, purchases, or any paid features.
When the Stroam service launches, its use will be governed by separate terms presented to you at that time. These Terms cover the Site and waitlist only.
Joining the waitlist
- Joining the waitlist is free and creates no obligation on either side.
- A waitlist spot is not a guarantee of early access, launch timing, launch in your city, or that the service will launch at all. Plans can change.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to use an email address you control.
- Waitlist spots are personal and not transferable or sellable.
- We may remove signups that are duplicated, automated, abusive, or based on false information.
Communications
If you tick the consent box when signing up, we will send you launch news and early-access updates by email, in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
Acceptable use
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site, its servers, or its bot-protection measures;
- Use automated means to sign up, scrape, or harvest information from the Site;
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
The Site and its contents, including the Stroam name, logo, text, images, and design, are owned by Stroam Inc. or its licensors and are protected by Canadian and international intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to view the Site for personal, non-commercial use. No other rights are granted.
Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback about Stroam, you agree we may use them without restriction or compensation. This lets us build the product without ownership disputes over suggestions.
Third-party services
The Site relies on third-party providers (such as hosting and bot protection) and may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties, and a link is not an endorsement.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stroam disclaims all express or implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantable quality, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the Stroam service will launch on any particular date, in any particular city, or at all.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Stroam will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Site or your place on the waitlist. Because the Site is free, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to CAD $50.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, and nothing waives statutory rights you hold as a consumer in your province or territory.
Changes to the Site or these Terms
We may change or discontinue the Site, or amend these Terms, at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the amended Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. You and Stroam attorn to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, sitting in Toronto, for any dispute relating to these Terms or the Site.
